Spring

As the snow line slowly recedes and thaws, life reawakens across the valley.
No longer held down by the incredible might of ice and cold; wild flowers and fauna erupt from their winter refuges, reconquering the once barren forest floor.

HIKING

A fantastic time of year to explore the mountains, forests and valleys without the crowds of summer and winter.

Spring offers a more tranquil experience at Lac de Montriond.

The hotel is on the doorstep of some of the best mountain walks in Europe, including outstanding views of Mont Blanc and beyond. We absolutely love hiking in the Alps and our carefully curated self-guided routes provide the best available day walks in the Portes du Soleil mountain range. With our comprehensive route directions and detailed maps to hand, you can explore the delights of the alpine scenery at your own pace.
