Busses to and from Hotel du Lac in Winter 2023

Hotel du Lac sits mid-way between the ski resorts of Morzine and Avoriaz, on the outskirts of the traditional Savoyarde village of Montriond. Our location makes it easy to access the ski lifts of Ardent, which are less than 10 minutes from the hotel using the local bus service. From the Ardent Telecabine, the entire Portes du Soleil is ready and waiting for you.

In the opposite direction, the local bus service makes it easy for you to pop into Montriond village and on to Morzine for some apres ski entertainment or perhaps an afternoon of souvenir shopping. The journey takes less than 20 minutes and it’s well worth taking the time to explore our beautiful villages.

Hotel du Lac is on the M bus line, collecting Morzine, Montriond, Lac de Montriond and the ski lifts of Ardent. The bus service is efficient and reliable and you’ll find the bus stop immediately outside of the hotel entrance.

You’ll find a copy of the bus timetable within the hotel, but to help you plan your ultimate ski day in the mountains, we’ve included a copy of the Montriond Winter 23 bus timetable below. Note that the hotel stop is named ‘Montriond Lac (salle polyvalente)’

Key Times:

• The first bus to pass the hotel en-route to the ski lifts in Ardent is at 8.13am each morning. The Ardent telecabine opens at 8.30am, making first lifts on powder days a cinch.
• The busses then pass the hotel every 30 minutes until 12.13pm, when there’s an hours break. This schedule gives you plenty of time for a longer, leisurely breakfast, should you prefer.
• In the afternoon, busses depart from the Ardent telecabine in the direction of Hotel du Lac every 40 minutes, the final bus back to the hotel departs Ardent at 6.02pm, arriving back at the hotel at 6.10pm. We’ll have the apres ski cocktails waiting.
• Should you wish to head in the direction of Morzine to ski, the first bus in the opposite direction passes the hotel at 8.38am, jump off at Les Bois Venant stop to hop on the Super Morzine lift or take a short walk across Morzine to the bottom of the Pleney lifts.
• The final bus heading back to Hotel du Lac from Morzine each day departs from the Bois Venant stop at the bottom of the Super Morzine at 5.44pm, arriving at the hotel at 5.53pm.
