Today marks five months until Christmas Day 2022.  You may think that it is far too early to begin the countdown, although indulging in five advent calendars doesn’t sound too tough!  Christmas is a time that comes upon us so quickly though and before we know it, it’s whisked away from us like used wrapping paper and faulty fairy lights.

It can be hard to imagine the lake all wrapped up in ice and dusted with glittering snow when it’s currently covered in paddle boards and flamingoes and temperatures are in the thirties.  But as day follows night season follows season and the magic that is winter at Lake Montriond will soon be here again.

The Morzine-Avoriaz Tourist Office has yet to release their dates for the Christmas and New Year programme but you can expect vin chaud and hot chocolate in the square, performances, Father Christmas, fireworks displays and the famous torchlit descent of the Pleney piste by the ESF ski instructors.
